Description
Glycine is a non-essential amino acid with a sweet taste. It has healing and antioxidant properties and is involved in the synthesis of bile acids in the liver, thus promoting its detoxification. Large amounts of glycine are also present in prostate fluid, which could mean that glycine plays a protective role for this gland.
